Board approves HACCP variance for sushi preparation at restaurant

Hull Board of Health approves sushi preparation HACCP plan for local restaurant. The three-member board, chaired by Jennifer Butler-Rickard with members Janet Scribner and Sarah Chorney, voted unanimously to approve the variance. Director Rachel Gerold noted the plan, prepared by ALSCO Food Check, was an improvement over the prior version and that The Parrot has scheduled required staff trainings.

The board also discussed preventative health initiatives, tobacco and kratom regulations, and scheduled the Wellness Fair for May 16, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
