Economic Development Committee · Meeting of September 1, 2026

HULL — The Hull Economic Development Committee approved prior meeting minutes, elected liaisons, and updated initiatives. The committee elected Steven Greenberg liaison to the Select Board parking subcommittee and Meg Riley liaison to the Master Plan Steering Committee. The MBTA bus pilot program doubled ridership to 282 people per day, with the transit authority developing plans for 33 bus stops on the new route and potential expansion to the ferry.

The town received a $50,000 grant for economic development and beautification and submitted a $369,000 grant application for a new visitor center. The committee identified parking as a critical economic infrastructure issue, flagging a $15 evening charge at the Surfside lot after 5 PM as harmful to local businesses.
