Hull Light Board Advances Solar Rate Analysis; Adopts PILOT Policy
Light Board · Meeting of January 15, 2026
Hull Light Board requests revised solar rate analysis ahead of February vote. During Thursday's meeting, the board heard MMWEC's recommendation for a 75 percent retail credit and $19.54 monthly minimum bill but instructed the utility to analyze a modified scenario without the $2.00 per kilowatt charge, with a vote scheduled for February 26. The board also voted 3 to 2 to adopt a Payment in Lieu of Taxes policy drafted by Attorney Nicholas Scobbo, with Vice Chair Patrick Cannon and Stephanie Landry in opposition citing insufficient review time.
Hull Wind 2 turbine decommissioning was completed in December at approximately $400,000 in total project costs.
