Hull Zoning Board approves N Street home expansion and punts Nantasket Avenue appeal after counsel fails to appear. The board's three voting members, Chair Matthew Hennessey, Edward Parsons, and Anthony Ballone, unanimously continued the Point Nantasket Realty LLC appeal, which challenges the Planning Board's denial of site plan review for properties at 839, 843, and 845 Nantasket Avenue, after the town's assigned attorneys notified Hennessey at approximately 4:30 p.m. that day they could not attend. Attorney Adam Brodsky, representing the applicant, noted his client "was prepared to present this evening" but did not oppose the delay; town counsel Ryan Wyndham, appearing for the Planning Board, confirmed no objection.
The hearing is rescheduled for August 11, 2026, at 7 p.m. The board then unanimously granted a special permit to Stephen and Elizabeth Curie to substantially renovate and expand their single-family home at 23 N Street, allowing side setbacks of 4.9 feet on the right and 7.9 feet on the left, both below the 10-foot bylaw requirement but consistent with the property's preexisting nonconforming conditions, in a project that will add a full second story, new garage, front porch, and decks while elevating the structure for FEMA flood compliance.
