Hull Light Board endorses citizen petition to restore Chapter 164 governance. In a 3-2 vote, Commissioners Thomas Burns, Daniel J. Ciccariello, and Jacob M.
Vaillancourt supported the Charter amendment petition, while Commissioners Mark L. Kohn and Stephanie Landry opposed. The Board also unanimously approved a $25,000 donation to the Hull 250th Celebration from the Light Plant's general operating fund, despite public objection from resident Lisa French, who argued that utility ratepayer money should not fund the event.
Light Plant Manager Jennifer Constable reported entry into a five-year power purchase agreement with Maine Hydro to replace lost Wind II generation capacity and announced plans to apply for Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness grant funding for a joint Light Plant-DPW resilient facilities project.
