Light Board subcommittee revises study scope but clashes on task order
Hull Light Board subcommittee revised the feasibility study scope on municipal light plant relocation.
Light Board · Meeting of October 7, 2026
Hull Light Board subcommittee revised the feasibility study scope on municipal light plant relocation. The subcommittee, consisting of Chair Thomas Burns and Clerk Jacob M. Vaillancourt, worked with Light Plant Manager Jennifer Constable and Operations Manager Michael Schmitt to refine a $110,000 study on whether the plant should relocate from 15 Edgewater Road to 9 Nantasket Avenue.
Members agreed by consensus to revisions including restructuring the peer-review task and adding flood-analysis detail. Constable and board members disagreed on whether the peer review should proceed separately before costing; the dispute remains unresolved pending the Board's expected October 22 meeting.
