Light Board votes to oppose joint DPW facility and notify state agencies.

Hull Light Board formally opposes proposed consolidation with Department of Public Works. The Board voted 3-2 to adopt a resolution by Commissioner Jacob M. Vaillancourt opposing the joint facility at West Corner, which is the subject of three state Coastal Resilience Grants totaling $524,805 since 2023 and a pending Phase 4 application seeking up to $2,000,000.
Chair Thomas Burns and Commissioner Daniel J. Ciccariello voted in favor; Commissioners Stephanie Landry and two others opposed. The resolution directs Board Clerk Jacob M.
Vaillancourt to notify the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, the Massachusetts Office of Coastal Zone Management, the Department of Public Utilities, the Attorney General, state legislators, the Select Board, and the Town Manager that the Light Plant governing board has not authorized any grant applications and refuses to commit Light Plant resources as grant match.
