Planning Board approves Flex Plan draft for Select Board, tweaks height rules.

Planning Board · Meeting of February 4, 2026

HULL — Planning Board approves Flexible Plan draft for warrant and Select Board review. In a unanimous vote, the board backed the placeholder language after adjusting the maximum building footprint to 1,600 square feet from an initial 2,500, per member Nathan Peyton's suggestion. The board also referred a contentious zoning footnote back to the Zoning Bylaw Committee for further study; Chair Jeanne Paquin and member Abby Klieman disagreed with colleagues on whether to repeal language allowing irregular setbacks by Building Inspector discretion, instead requiring a special permit process.

In a 5-1 vote with Nancy Boyce abstaining, the footnote referral carried. The board voted 6-0-1 to hire Chessia Consulting Services for stormwater engineering on a proposed multi-building Nantasket Avenue development, opening its public hearing for February 25.
