HULL — Select Board approves liquor and entertainment licenses, seawall traffic plan. The board unanimously granted Phuong Tran's application for an Annual All Alcohol License transfer and two new licenses for Tide and Flames LLC at the former Nantasket Flatts property (145 Nantasket Avenue), which is slated to become a seafood and Vietnamese restaurant with DJ and karaoke service; residents of nearby Ocean Place Condominiums raised noise concerns about outdoor music from prior establishments at the site. The board also unanimously endorsed GEI Consultants' traffic recommendations for the Nantasket Avenue Seawall Project, setting one-way northbound flow on the seawall at 20 mph and 25 mph on Fitzpatrick Way, with intersection work expected to wrap by end of August.

In a 3-2 vote, the board rejected opting into a state pilot program that would have allowed extended liquor license hours through July 30, 2026; Chair McCarthy and Vice Chair Taverna supported the measure to aid seasonal businesses, while Clerk Green and Members Nesoff and Grey opposed it, citing resident complaints about late-hour noise near establishments.
