HULL — Select Board approves four zoning amendments for March 11 public hearings ahead of Town Meeting. Director of Community and Planning Christopher DiIorio outlined amendments to non-conforming use rules, flexible plan development, commercial recreation districts, and the Nantasket Beach Overlay District, with all four referrals to the Planning Board approved unanimously. In a 3-2 vote, the board raised resident parking sticker fees to $20 and visitor passes to $20, with seniors 65 and older receiving $10 stickers and free stickers for veterans and persons with disabilities; Vice Chair Jerry Taverna and Member Brian McCarthy opposed, citing concerns about revenue justifications and general-fund responsibility.
The board also unanimously approved conditional employment offers for full-time police officers James T. Denton and Neil L. Ryan, pending background clearance and academy eligibility.
