Zoning Bylaw Committee elects new officers, directs Planning Board review
Zoning By-Law Committee · Meeting of February 18, 2026
HULL — The Zoning Bylaw Committee elected new leadership and directed staff to prepare tracked-change markup of Planning Board proposed amendments to Section 410 Flexible Plan Development regulations. Susan Short Green was elected Chair unanimously, Bartley Kelly as Vice Chair in a 6-1 vote (with Abby Klieman voting nay), and Jason McCann as Clerk unanimously. The Committee identified more than a dozen substantive concerns with the Flexible Plan amendments, including inconsistent use-list language, vague enforcement standards, and unclear definitions, and requested detailed redline documents ahead of Planning Board public hearings set for March 11.
Separately, the Nantasket Beach Overlay District amendments moved forward with changes to open-space definition, shadow-protection standards, and an adjustment of the wall-effect standard from 80 feet to 60 feet, which the Committee flagged for further review.
