HULL -- April 27, 2026, Hull Redevelopment Authority awards lawn contract to low bidder and holds off on public safety building vote. The five-member board voted unanimously Monday to hire J. Truglia Landscaping for the 2026 season at $475 per mow and $65 per hour for property maintenance, replacing Tyler Gray Landscape, which had quoted $1,350 per mow, the lowest bid in the authority's recent memory, at roughly one-third any prior quote. Member Dan Kernan moved to formally oppose placing the town's proposed $60-million combined police-fire facility on HRA Lot B, saying the town's own consultant had ranked that site third among three options, but rescinded the motion after fellow members Adrienne Paquin and Charlie Richardson argued the board's ongoing town-wide survey, which had already drawn more than 500 responses, included a specific question on the public safety building and should be allowed to conclude first. Chair Bartley Kelly said any disposition of HRA land would require the authority's approval, a town meeting vote, and likely a ballot measure to authorize bonding, giving the board multiple opportunities to weigh in before any decision is made.
