Hull Sewer Commission raised rates and advanced a new plant operator contract.
Water · Meeting of August 10, 2026
Hull Sewer Commission raised rates and advanced a new plant operator contract. The board voted unanimously to lift the monthly base sewer rate from $30 to $40 and set the volumetric charge at $19.48 per hundred cubic feet, a 2.5 percent increase, to cover a fiscal 2027 budget of roughly $7.07 million while building reserves ahead of nearly $1 million in added debt service. Commissioners Rick, Scott Taylor, Jordan and Paul voted 4-0 on both rate measures.
The commission also reviewed two State Revolving Fund loans totaling almost $18 million for sewer collection and treatment plant upgrades, and said Hull billed the Weir River Water System about $6,000 for billing errors that forced manual data entry. Staff said a ten-year contract with new operator Inframark, who will retain three existing plant staff and hire two more, is awaiting final signatures ahead of a July 1 transition.
