Hull Historical Commission members weigh merger, assets, and Demolition Delay Act.

Historical Commission · Meeting of April 16, 2026

Hull Historical Commission discussed a proposed merger with the Historical District Commission and debated historic asset nominations. Mary Harrington, Clerk, reported that members of the Historical District Commission expressed concern about workload and did not support the merger, which would reduce two commissions totaling 14 seats to a single seven- or eight-seat body if approved at town meeting. Harrington stated her intent to nominate the Town Hall to the National Register of Historic Places as a private citizen; Steven Greenberg opposed the move, saying it would discredit the commission.

Duncan Stone announced he will not renew his voluntary position when his term expires in June 2026.
