Hull panel drops harbor site from station plan
Hull's public safety facilities committee dropped a harbor-area parcel from consideration for a new police and fire complex.
Other Committee · Meeting of August 17, 2026
Hull's public safety facilities committee dropped a harbor-area parcel from consideration for a new police and fire complex. Deputy Fire Chief Bill Frazier reported the town's first project survey drew responses that were almost 90 percent Hull residents, with 95 percent already aware of the stations' poor condition. Lieutenant Glavin argued the harbor site, known as the HRA parcel, left the fire department without storm access, saying "I don't think it really makes a lot of sense." The committee instead turned to acquiring a lot across A Street, where appraisals are underway, while keeping police headquarters and a fire substation at the current Green Hill-area building.
Officials described a flooded evidence room and a ladder truck with roughly three inches of ceiling clearance as evidence of the need. The committee voted unanimously to meet next on August 30.
