Hull Redevelopment Authority Approves $20,490 Warrant, Extends July 18 Parking Hours

HULL — June 15, 2026 — Hull Redevelopment Authority extends parking hours and approves $20,490 warrant for 250th fireworks night. The board voted unanimously at its June 15 meeting to allow parking operators at lots A and C to charge and operate until 10 p.m. on July 18, 2026, two hours past their standard contractual cutoff, to accommodate Hull's 250th anniversary fireworks celebration. Nantasket Avenue resident Cindy Borges called in to object, arguing the board was altering Select Board-approved contracts without authorization and raising concerns about the absence of public restrooms after the state bathhouse closes at dusk. The board approved a corrected spending warrant of $20,490.59, including $17,760 to Market Street Research for a community survey and $2,313.09 in police detail costs. Market Street Research is expected to present full survey findings at a Zoom meeting on July 13, with a preliminary overview at the June 29 in-person meeting at Town Hall.
