The Weir River Water System announced Oct. 25 that a water gate valve split while crews were performing a routine repair on Bay Street near 106 Bay St., prompting a shutdown of water service to the Sagamore Hill area.
The following streets will be without water for an estimated 6 to 8 hours while crews replace the valve and complete repairs: Hampton Circle, Old Colony Avenue, Lincoln Avenue, Standish Road, Mayflower Avenue, Andrew Road, Bay Street, Fairmount Way, Merrill Road, Roosevelt Avenue, Hillside Road, Eastern Avenue, Porazzo Road and Sagamore Terrace.
