HULL — Select Board unanimously authorizes Boston Light stewardship letters. The Town and Hull Lifesaving Museum will submit separate Letters of Interest to the federal government regarding stewardship of Boston Light, the oldest lighthouse station in the United States, with letters due October 2nd. Hull Lifesaving Museum Director of Development Maureen Gillis said the site requires evaluation of building conditions, operating and insurance costs, and funding partnerships.
The board also unanimously approved the Hometown Heroes Program, which will display banners recognizing active-duty service members and veterans on roughly 40 ornamental light poles from approximately Memorial Day through Veterans Day.
