Hull Planning Board Elects New Clerk, Splits MAPC Letter
Planning Board · Meeting of September 9, 2026
Hull Planning Board elects a new clerk and splits a stalled MAPC letter in two. Members unanimously elected Jean Paquin as clerk and appointed her to the town's new Parking Management Advisory Committee, 6-1. The board spent over an hour debating a transmittal letter to consultant MAPC after a subcommittee found the $155,000 phase-one master plan report seriously flawed.
"The town has paid $90,000 for this so far... we cannot use it as it is," said outgoing clerk Lisa French. Vice Chair Abby Klieman was blunter: "At the end of the day, we're the client, and they did a lousy job, period." The board settled on two documents — a short cover letter to MAPC from Klieman and a background addendum for the steering committee from French — with edits due Monday at 4 p.m.
