Hull Select Board votes 3-2 to raise parking sticker fees to $20

HULL — February 18, 2026 — Hull Select Board raises resident parking sticker fees for the first time since 2012. The board voted 3-2 Wednesday to set annual restricted parking stickers at $20, up from $14, and visitor passes at $20, up from $14, while adopting a senior rate of $10, effective this season. Police Chief Dunn told the board the town sold 6,200 resident stickers and 3,500 visitor passes last year, generating roughly $113,000, and that revenue supports the community service officer program he wants to expand from six to as many as ten officers. The board simultaneously moved all permits to an online platform through City Hall Systems, which carries a $4-per-transaction processing fee built into the new price. Member Irwin Nesoff successfully argued down a staff recommendation of $30 per sticker, calling the jump from $14 to $30 excessive for a single year. The board also voted unanimously to refer four zoning bylaw amendments to the Planning Board — covering nonconforming setbacks, Flexible Plan Development, museum uses, and Nantasket Beach Overlay rules — with Planning Board public hearings targeted for March 11 and the town warrant closing March 25.
