HULL — The Hull Select Board voted unanimously to approve 33 Phase One bus stop locations for the MBTA's Route 714 redesign, clearing the project for 15 percent engineering design ahead of targeted 2027 construction. MBTA project lead Tom Quattromani said ridership on the route's second-bus pilot has risen, and resident Steve Greenberg told the board daily ridership has grown from roughly 150 to 280. The board also nominated Janet Scribner, the Board of Health's current vice chair, to a three-year term, and approved a liquor license transfer at 169A Nantasket Avenue to Birds and Bs Management LLC, dba Nanny B's General Store.
Clerk Susan Short Green won unanimous approval, 4-0, to create a nine-member Parking Management Advisory Committee to audit resident permits, visitor passes and pay-by-phone parking, a system Vice Chair Jerry Taverna said has generated roughly $40,000 since May 2025. In a joint session, the Select Board and Planning Board appointed Jeanne Paquin to a vacant Planning Board seat on a second roll-call vote, 6-2, with two abstentions, over finalist Francine Townsend.
